We love adventures! We’ve been on many through the years. One of our biggest camping adventures was a 10-day round trip road trip we took in 2022, with a small, 2005, Four Winds camper that we pulled behind D.A.’s work truck.
We planned on driving the the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and drive all the way down, boon docking in various locations along the way, and ending in Maggie Valley, NC. We we slightly disappointed though, when we discovered that part of the BRP had been closed due to rock slides, and we had to divert to the next open area on the route. We were not discouraged… just disappointed that we couldn’t have begun at mile mark zero and travel all the way down. However, we now know of some good boon docking camp areas and will be able to visit them again.
We are currently working on our Maiden Voyage 2025 with the cargo conversion. So, check back after Christmas and be watching for that post!
