Welcome to The Wilburn’s Camping Adventures!

We are excited you joined us! It’s going to take us some time to start filling this website with traveling, fun, pictures, and more. But don’t let that scare you away! We aren’t new to traveling, camping, or even blogging and vlogging (which we’ll get to). First, let us tell you a little more about what we’re doing on this website.

Hopefully, you’ve checked out our About Us page and learned a little more about us personally. If not, give it a whirl. We had a friend ask us what we planned to do with our little camper and what type of ministry we planned to do. Honestly, we are in our early 60s now and we have done some pretty outlandish and out-of-the-box things in our marriage and ministries. Why would a little six-foot-by-twelve-foot cargo conversion camper be any different?

Mostly, though, we are like two little kids building a playhouse on wheels and can’t wait to drive it down the road, find a place to park it, and … well… hmm… do nothing but relax and enjoy each other’s company for a while.

When I was in junior high, we were required to take Home Ec in seventh grade. One semester we were instructed to bring an empty shoe box for an assignment. It turned out to be a home decorating project; much like decorating a dollhouse, but on a smaller scale. I loved it! I don’t remember what grade I got, but I do remember enjoying it. Now, here I am, more than forty years later, decorating my tiny camper.

We may or may not have the pics posted of the conversion. If not, please give us some time to get those done. I’m sure you’ll be surprised. We’ve already had many visitors see it in person. Every one has enjoyed seeing it.

As we go, we hope to document our travels. We are creatures of habit, and love certain places more than others, so we tend to gravitate toward our favorite spots. However, even though we visit some of the same places year after year, we always find new things we didn’t see before. We hope you’ll travel along with us, whether virtually, here on this website, or in person. For those who also like to travel and might want to tag along, we will have travel plans and registration available as soon as we get up and running well.
